What is the Voltaire certificate?

The Voltaire certificate is used to certify your proficiency in French spelling/grammar on your CV, in the same vein as the TOEIC® or the TOEFL® for English. By referencing this certificate on your CV, you will stand out from the crowd. It is a 3-hour invigilated exam (including a multiple-choice questionnaire lasting 2 hours) which takes place at an approved exam centre and requires proof of identity. 60% of the rules under assessment relate to grammar. The Voltaire Certificate will focus on areas of difficulty that are not easily detected by automatic correctors.

How should I prepare for the exam?

The reference training solution is Projet Voltaire. This bespoke online service enables you to brush up on your French spelling/grammar and identifies any particular weak points of the student while helping him/her to get into good habits. Projet Voltaire, accessible online, is also available as an application for smartphones (iPhone, Android, Windows Phone, Windows 8) and tablets (iPad, Android, Windows 8).
